It's all about the 3D's!
I would like your support for an adventure - branded 3DHealingWalk - that I am currently undertaking to raise $250,000 for the Hunter Medical Research Institute (HMRI) to conduct medical research into Diabetes, Depression and Dementia, the three rampant diseases of this century.
To do this, I am walking solo from Canterbury in England, through France, Switzerland and Italy, to Rome, following the Via Francigena, a seventeen-hundred year-old road dating back to late Roman times. The walk will take me three months and cover some 2,000 kilometres.
It is my intention that my journey will be both informative and entertaining for you and well worth your donation. Even if you don’t donate and you follow my adventures online, I will have succeeded in enlisting your understanding and possible future assistance.
Please follow my blog as I walk across some of Europe’s most beautiful - and challenging! - landscapes. I’ll be sure to keep you updated on all the culinary and wine delights I come across on the way as well as any misadventures that befall me, unless I am too embarrassed to relate them. There is hard science in this too, if you read the blog, and a serious effort to draw attention to the No.1 public health epidemic of this century – lack of physical activity.
You can contribute to this vitally important cause, anonymously or otherwise, via my Everyday Hero page. HMRI does not use this information to contact donors and all money raised goes directly to the research. I am meeting all the costs of my walk.
